Palaiopolis

The ancient capital of Andros was founded in the western coast and bloomed for over a thousand years, from the classical till the roman times. Today, you can walk around the ttaly greenish village, go down the path that leads to the ancient immersed harbor, walk next to ancient pillars and walls as well as to wander into the Archeological Museum of Paleopoli. Here, findings from the excavations are exhibited such as sculptures, reliefs and inscriptions.
