Lighthouse (Pharos) Tourlitis

Very close to the Lower Castle of Chora, at Niborios cove in a rock of 7m high in the sea, you will find Tourlitis Lighthouse. It operated for the first time in January 1st of 1897 while in 1943 had some serious damage because of the bombing of Andros by the Germans. The current lighthouse, a donation of Goulandris family is a true copy of the old one.
