Folklore And Christian Art Museum

This museum is housed in what used to be the Mantzavelakis ice factory, with an oil press operating on the second floor. Note the building’s architecture, which is characteristic of Andros. It is now a museum dedicated to the island’s folk art (hand mills, rolling pins, bread peels, bread stamps, large ceramic jars, scales, etc.) and to its religious tradition, with an emphasis on hagiography.
