In Flerio region, near the village Mili, there are portions of the ancient aqueduct. This is an important technical work of antiquity with great historic value. The area of Melanes was flourished in the 6th and 7th century BC, because of the marble quarries. Across the region were important technical activities, but there were also workshops where marble statues made from parts of buildings. The area is also rich in springs and rivers. The ancient aqueduct ran from the late 6th century BC to the 8th century BC and had a length of about 11 km. Is a very impressive and important monument. The visitor can see parts of the ancient aqueduct at various points in the area of Milli. Much is visible on the main street Kourounohori-Milli. Another place you will find parts of it is 500 meters after the village of Milli and at the areas of Flerio, Katsoprini, Agios Stefanos and Fontana.
