The small open air theater is close to Chora, in the area of Tsoukalaria. It was designed by the architect Peter Haupt in the standards of the ancient Greek theaters that can be found in the islands, made of stone and marble. It includes the orchestra of 12m diameter and 1100 stands in southern layout. Here during the summer, the local concerts and theater performances organized within the framework of the cultural festival of Ios, are hosted.
